Chrisean Rock is being investigated by Miami Department of Children Services, Media Take Out confirmed, after dozens of concerned fans called authorities on the pregnant reality star, for openly smoking weed on Live.
Chrisean – who is now 7 months pregnant – went on Instagram Live last night, and sparked up a blunt and began smoking it.
Outraged fans learned that Chrisean is currently staying in Miami, and so they contacted the local Child Protective Services.
Media The Out reached out to the Miami department of Child Services for comment – but they offered no comment.
Research shows that using marijuana while you are pregnant can cause health problems in newborns, including lower birth weight and abnormal neurological development. Breathing marijuana smoke can can also be bad for the baby.
And there’s more, while scientists are still learning about the effects of marijuana on developing brains, studies suggest that marijuana use by persons during pregnancy could be linked to problems with attention, memory, problem-solving skills, and behavior in their children later in life.
Child Protective Services (CPS) is a governmental agency tasked with ensuring the safety of children. CPS becomes involved with children and families when they are referred by the DFPS Investigations division or another agency (like anonymous tips). CPS investigates allegations of child abuse and neglect to include drug use while pregnant.
If found to be smoking marijuana, authorities may remove the child from Chrisean’s care, after birth.
